God and Humans

(Worried about the World)

Yahwig

Well there is God, and then there is god If you praying to God chances are is god will answer. I think God is the universe, but shouldnt be called God, and god is a person that is giant.

simplicity is key, well said bro, life is the search for peace of mind or god is finding that piece of mind? what we are all searchin for is happieness, along the way the darkness hits some and ruins the peace of mind for us. Not COOL!! They are all the dickheads who think they know whats best or have lost all care for peace of anything. Dealing with them could be our problem or we could let them go alone. I am my god and then i am for thinking thus. Piece of my peace of mind.

John Dishwasher

Yes, according to the ideas in the essay: "life is the search for peace of mind." Also, "god" is "needing that peace of mind." But what I'm really trying to emphasize is that you do not have to call it "god" to find or need that peace of mind. And you do not have to call it "no-god" to find or need that peace of mind. We seek that peace of mind no matter what we call it or don't call it. That's why the "definition" has a universal quality. An atheist can apply it, or a believer can apply it.

I call this, Humanism

John Dishwasher

Do you mean Humanism in that academic philosophical way? I'm not really good at remembering movements and stuff. I'd be interested to hear if my essay really fits into a certain school of thought.

I suppose the best you can hope for from all of those groups is that they at least agree on the same Spelling for God!

Well it came up long ago that there were giant beings that people experienced, and thought was God, yet the teachers had to come down and tell the mystery schools that they weren't. that God is the universe.

More into that, but that is just the gist of it.
