God and Humans

(Independence)

Ziggy

Well first nothing is exactly right, so the common idea of god=perfect is complete bull crap. My own thought is the god=everything, undivided is how i would define such a thing, many parts are godlike but the infinite all is more than the sum of all this. Just a label anyway it means what you want. Whereas, the source or begining is a fault, the eternal nothing where nothing is created created everything. plainly put as i can. to elaborate though possible is quite unpleasant and i do not care to right now. Is that the point? personally i like the principle or idea of Self. Effort and all things working together for the good of everything.

Nevertheless, when you know you do not knpw, the unknown is much more manageable, it is a simple matter of look and see, then you just make a choice, believe it or not. Cause and effect comes down to simple reasoning i think. I did visit your blog, if you are happy and enjoy your journey does it make any difference if anyone appreciates it? I have not decided, but thanks for sharing.

If you are happy and enjoy your journey it does not matter if anyone appreciates it. Neither does it matter if they denigrate it. I think an ultimate "peace of mind" would be self-sufficient. It would not need the approval of others, and it could exist independent of their criticism. This, however, is an ideal. We are so social as humans it is very difficult to find that place of independence. As I say in the essay, those who have achieved this ultimate peace of mind are few--so few that we hold them up as incarnations of what we strive toward. Even so, we cannot help but strive toward what they represent, regardless what status we give or do not give them.

Well sure man is willing to make a god out of anything, and worship is just giving thanks for what one has. The question is can you strive toward what you represent? Do you appreciate the rest of the idiots you have to share space with. You can try to be anything you wish. Can you accept yourself as you are or will you never be satisfied? The issue i see is that we seek to raise ourselves onto that pedastal and choose the easy path almost everytime. To see oneself above is to see others below and to see oneself below is a form of madness i think. So as you say we are all social animals and posses the same desires. consuming passion, to be loved, adored, accepted, for the most part anyway. So what's the easy way and how much effort would you be willing to put into reaching the ideal goal? Anyway sorry to head so far OT. god=mistakes

You can never be free of society, as much as you try...you will always need other people to help you and pull you through. You can only seek to be free of monetary control that society inflicts on you. I used to be a dishwasher.
